Gale Kragt

Pastor Gale Kragt was a chaplain at three hospitals in Southwest Michigan. In addition, he attends Rhema Word Outreach Center and Ministries in Battle Creek, Michigan. Pastor Gale also does private consulting and assists several churches in Hastings, Michigan, with their counseling needs. He has served as the Executive Director and Founder of the Spiritual Care Consultants of West Michigan in Hastings since 2007.

Born in Zeeling, Michigan, and raised on a farm, Pastor Kragt had a heart for ministry in his teen years. Before college, he served part-time in jail ministry for three years through the Forgotten Man Ministries program in Allegan County. He also spent time in the mission field, helping Native Americans on a South Dakota reservation. While in college, Pastor Kragt helped build a church in Monterrey, Mexico, with other mission team volunteers. In addition, he travels to Costa Rica & Honduras yearly, training different ministry partners in the Spiritual Care Consultants healing process, and has helped establish a Healing Center in both countries.

Ordained into ministry in 1993, Pastor Kragt holds a doctorate and master’s degree in Christian Counseling and Psychology from the Carolina University of Theology in Stanley, North Carolina. In addition, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in religion at Kingswood University in Sussex, New Brunswick, Canada.

Pastor Kragt has been a hospital chaplain for eight years and served as a pastor at two churches in Battle Creek and Delton, Michigan, for eight years. Pastor Kragt served some of his time as chaplain and pastor concurrently.
